"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark."
-Michelangelo

Hi, I'm Amy.

Do you resonate with the quote above? It's a quote I live by because I really believe in stepping out of comfort zone, aiming high and exploring what works for each of us.

I started this blog back in late 2021 when I moved to Germany from Canada to pursue a graduate degree. I promised myself to seek for new experiences and to test my limists and potentials! In fact, I started this blog with a mission "showing you whats out there in the world"

Fast forward January 2024, I am SO happy I took the chance because in just more than 2 years, I met so many people that showed me different ways of thinking, tried 3 internships professionally, took weekend trips to Paris, Geneva, Barcelona, Rome, etc and also went for a 6 months sabbatical in Tokyo and Bali.  Oh yes, and a degree.

That being said I think the biggest win for me with the journey so far is learning about myself. I am no longer so confused and unfulfilled with life just sitting on the couch wondering what's out there. After 2 years of challenging myself living in Germany, I am SO aware of myself, what exactly I want in life and all the amazing possibilities. This is honestly all my 2021 self wanted when I booked the one way flight ticket to Germany. I am so excited for the present and the future.

So stay with me in my journey and share yours. I'll keep writing about studying abroad stories and tips but I'll start sharing the next stage of my lfe- career, more Europe travel and last but not least enjoying every single day of life in my new home - Berlin.
